This absolutely stunning shot of Barrie Speedway was taken during the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event on September 8th.

The show was a huge success with a sell-out crowd. "Walk-up" ticket sales were in fact so strong that the track was forced to shut down the ticket windows.

Taken at dusk, the shot shows the Canadian Series drivers being led by the pace car down the front straightaway.

What really takes your breath away however is the absolute sea of cars, campers and haulers. It's amazing how far the track has come in just a few shorts years!
